Peter A. Brotchie. Principal. Mr. Brotchie, is the managing member and Chief Investment Officer of Brotchie Capital Management, LLC.
Peter is a successful CEO and entrepreneur who has previously created and managed companies in the real estate and mortgage banking fields. Founded in 1991, Union Trust Mortgage Corporation (“Union Trust”) is one such firm which was a full service mortgage lender engaged in the origination, underwriting, warehousing and sale of residential mortgages in the secondary market. Union Trust operated under licenses from the state banking departments of MA, ME, and NH for over 23 years. The Company was merged with Republic State Mortgage Co. of Houston,Texas in June of 2015 and now operates as a division of Republic State Mortgage Co.
After decades of building and running businesses, in 2006 Peter turned the day-to-day operations of Union Trust over to other officers of the company in order to concentrate on managing his investments on a full-time basis. He has built a track record of risk-adjusted returns by employing a value investing approach during one of the most volatile and difficult market environments since the great depression. He has modeled his investment program after the early investment partnerships of Warren Buffett and Charles Munger of Berkshire Hathaway fame. This school of value investing is integrated with Peter’s own unique judgments, developed from his experience as an investor, business manager, and entrepreneur.
